Free Scholarship to JapanThe Japanese Embassy in the Philippines just announced the 2010 Japanese Government Scholarships offered to deserving students who will be given a chance to study in Japan. Scholarships are available for Undergraduate, Professional Training, College of Technology and Post Graduate studies. Most common among the requirements is that the applicants must have good grades.

An age requirement is given for those wishing to apply for Undergraduate, Professional Training, College of Technology scholarships. That being they must be between 17-21 years of age. Graduate scholar applicants must be below 35 years of age.

For Undergraduate and Professional Training they must have 12 years of schooling under their belt, while College of Technology scholars need only 11. Post Graduate applicants need 16 yrs of formal education and a clear and feasible research proposal.

Aside from those requirements, applicants must undergo a screening process in the form of document checks, written exams and interviews.

The following courses are available for Undergraduate studies: Social Sciences, Humanities and Natural Sciences. This will last 5 years.

Profession Training meanwhile will last for 3 years and the following courses are offered: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Nutrition, Infant Education, Secretarial Studies, Hotel Management, Tourism, Fashion, Dress Making, Design, Photography.

College of Technology offers the following courses that last for 4 years: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Information, Communication & Network Engineering, Materials Engineering, Architecture & Civil Engineering, Maritime Engineering.
