Philippines reduces cost of Business Name registration by 50% for 2009

The Philippine Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) announced Administrative Order 09-01 Series of 2009 (Temporary Reduction of Business Name Registration Fees.), which effectively reduces the cost Business name registration and renewal by 50% for 6 months.

This is so as to help spur business and entrepreneurship activities this 2009. Most especially for OFW’s who have come home because they have been laid off abroad due to the economic down turn.

The current cost of P300 will be reduced to P150 and will be good for 6 months only of the year.
