Philippines is the fastest growing outsourcer at Odesk

Odesk, a business matching site, touted the Philippines and it’s independent providers as the fastest growing market provider in their site. This they announced recently via their outsourcing statistics report.

Summary of the Report:

• In the Odesk economy, the Philippines is the fastest growing market provider than any other country. Its largest category is Knowledge Processing Outsourcing (KPO), which are primarily data entry and virtual assistants.
• The Philippines average feedback rating surpassed the oDesk average for the first time.
• Next to the United States and India, the Philippines has the most number of providers.
• The Philippines has 17,213 providers, with an average hourly charge rate of $6.33 and an average feedback score of 4.30
• Data entry professionals are the most numerous of the providers from the Philippines. This is next to the technical writers, designers and developers.

Odesk also wrote how either a buyer or provider can make good use of the data found in the report. Providers can use this data by comparing their rates & feedback to others in their country and around the world.
