AIM’s top cities to do business in the Philippines

AIM Policy CenterThe Asian Institute of Management’s Policy Center released their list of the top 25 cities in the Philippines in which to live, work and operate a business. The survey broke down the cities into metro, mid-sized and small subgroups. The survey took in 90 cities and ranked them according to:

  1. Dynamism of local economy
  2. Cost of doing business
  3. Infrastructure
  4. Human resources and training
  5. Responsiveness of LGU to business needs
  6. Quality of life


Top performing metro cities were (alphabetical order): Davao, Lapu-Lapu, Makati, Manila, Marikina and Quezon City.

In the Mid Cities subclass (alphabetical order): Cabanatuan, General Santos, Lucena, Olongapo, San Pablo, Tagum and Tarlac.

While in the small sized class (alphabetical order): Bayawan, Calapan, Calbayog, Dagupan, Dipolog, Laoag, San Fernando (La Union), Malaybalay, Naga, Surigao, Tagbilaran and Tuguegarao.
